Southern Style Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Fresh green beans
  • 3 slices Bacon
  • 1 - 2 packets Goya Ham-Flavored Concentrate
  • Chicken broth
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Microwave bacon until almost cooked. Cut into large pieces.
  • Add green beans to a large pot. Cover with chicken broth.
  • Add bacon and Goya seasoning packet (adding two packets will give you more ham flavor).
  • Bring to a boil. Then simmer for an hour or more depending on your desired doneness. We, southerners, will cook our beans all day!

Notes

You can substitute the fresh green beans for canned. Use (2) 14.5 oz cans and reduce cooking time by half.
